POOL FEATURES FAQS

Questions About Pool Features and Equipment

Which pool features are included as standard? Our standard fiberglass pool equipment package includes a variable-speed pump, cartridge filter, saltwater chlorination system, pool heater and LED pool light. Water features, automation, automatic covers, heat pumps, lighting controllers, robotic pool vacuums and UV sanitizing systems are optional.

Can pool features be added after installation? Some equipment can be upgraded later, but features involving plumbing, electrical connections or patio construction are easier and usually more cost-effective to plan before installation. Waterfalls, deck jets and automatic covers should be considered during the initial design stage.

Can I control my pool equipment from my phone?Compatible automation systems can provide mobile control of pumps, heating, lighting and other connected pool equipment. Available functions depend on the selected equipment and automation system.

What does a robotic pool vacuum clean?Depending on the model, a robotic pool vacuum can independently clean the pool floor, walls and waterline. This reduces manual vacuuming and makes routine pool maintenance easier.

What is the difference between a pool heater and a heat pump?A conventional pool heater can raise the water temperature quickly, while a heat pump transfers heat from the surrounding air and operates differently. The best option depends on how you use the pool, the desired water temperature and your operating preferences.

Does a UV sanitizing system replace saltwater chlorination? No. UV is a supplemental water-treatment option that works alongside the pool’s primary sanitizing system. It does not eliminate the need for proper sanitizer levels and routine water care.

Can an automatic cover be installed on every fiberglass pool?Automatic covers work best with compatible pool shapes and layouts. The pool model, coping, equipment placement and surrounding patio all need to be considered during the design process.
